Great Zimbabwe is a ruined city which served as the capital of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe. Construction began during the 11th century and the city's peak was during the 13th and 14th centuries. It now serves as a national monument and important historic site.
Zimbabwe is home to many exquisite national parks. Hwange National Reserve is the largest national park in Zimbabwe. Mana Pools offers incredible opportunities to see wildlife. Matobo Hills is an incredible park with the highest concentration of rock art in the southern part of Africa which dates back at least 13,000 years.
Victoria Falls, which sits at the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, is the largest waterfall in the world. Make sure to fly over the cliffs while visiting!
